You might remember that I won a set of beautiful cake pulls from a blog give away last month. I was able to personally select all 10 of the cake pulls that I wanted and let me tell you...it was not easy!! Click the following link to go straight to the store to see all they have to offer... http://charminggifts2.blogspot.com/2008/01/cake-pulls-tradition-which-is-rapidly.htmlLet me give you an idea...
Cake pulls, a tradition which is rapidly re-gaining popularity, originated in Victorian England. Prior to her wedding, a Victorian bride would hide several sterling silver charms attached to satin ribbons within her wedding cake. Before she and the groom cut the first slice, her bridesmaids would each pull a charm as a special keepsake of the day. Each charm had a special meaning and foretold good luck, romance, or good fortune. Today’s cake pulls retain the fundamental significance of their Victorian-era counterparts, but with a few contemporary twists. Not just for the enjoyment of bridesmaids; they are being included at any event involving a cake – bridal showers, baby showers, graduations, birthdays, and other celebrations – whenever you want a special memento for a special day. { taken from the charming gifts web }

Well.. we got them!!! I was sooo excited! They are beautiful and so very dainty! I may use a couple in Chloe's 1st birthday cake but am really going to try and save them for HER wedding ( many many years from now...LOL )...
I got 10 pulls in all.. the carousel horse, the ballernia, the flower, the butterfly, the angel, the praying hands, the tiara, the fairy, the tea pot and the baby carriage..
They are on beautiful satin ribbons and came in the prettiest satin storage bag...
I just love them!
