Ethan's baby....

We went shopping today ( Walmart ) and Ethan just fell in love with a baby doll, he had to have it. We got it, thinking this is not going to last...and he has carried his baby all over ( very.. gently ) all night... it's sooo cute!!

So we were watching a little Backyardigans tonight and Ethan all of the sudden got p and stared imitating the dancing critters...it was soo funny! You could tell he was really watching them and trying to do that little dance they do just right...he is such a funny little guy!

A little about our day...

Well, Jan 27-28 were very cold and icy here in our parts. It was winter, for 2 days! Brian had the 27th off,which was nice. We hung out with the kids. We made houses out of empty boxes and the boys opened them and played who can get in the box the fastest! They also stacked the boxes, and everything else they could find as high as they could. I made a fabulous chicken/mushroom.potatoe dinner...from scratch, which is how I cook almost everything...but I was able to cook in PEACE with Daddy home. It was so awesome! Chloe was 3 months old exactly and perfect, as usual. Brian even did alot of laundry! It was just a good day at home. I wish they could all be that great. The next day there was ICE all over the roads and Brian went back to work. No Speech school for Ethan, so another free play day at home....it's been such a nice little break! Chloe turns 3 months ♥

It's so hard to believe but Chloe is 3 months old already! I know, it's just whirred by so quickly....she had to go to the Dr yesterday for fluid in the ear. It did not look infected but she is being treated. She feels much better.....she was so sad yesterday but by last night she was all smiles and giggles again!! She weighed in at 11#8oz and she is perfect in every way of course!

I have always trimmed Ethan's hair myself. He hates it. Cries and Scream all thru it. Today he had his 1st professional cut and he didn't like it...sat on dads lap and NEVER once cried! What an amazing little man!! Mommy is so proud of her little man ♥

I absolutely am so amazed at how much I love having a little girl. After all the boys, I was so used to Hot Wheels and blue I never thought about Pink or girlie things. Chloe has totally changed me already. I am in love with dressing her up and looking at girlie things. She is such an amazing and sweet little girl...I am so glad we are blessed to have her here with us. She is magic. Even Ethan and Jacob are drawn to her and want to make sure she is OK...forever making sure I have her blankie. I am having so much fun thinking about the future with a little girl....How sweet it is ♥

How Ethan has learned to talk

As most of you know. Ethan was diagnosed at the age of 2 with aprexia of speech. After months of tests including an MRI. Genetic testing. A complete blood DNA breakdown. Numerous trips to the neurologist. And many,many nights worrying and wondering why my baby could not talk. The pain of knowing he could not even say "mommy" was so hard. During the diagnosis we met a wonderful woman, Laura Hagan ( Miss Laura to Ethan ) and over the past year she has completely turned this little boy into a talking machine! In our home, then in her office she hs paitently taught not only Freely supplying me with many,many visuals to aid in teaching Ethan at home. He is taking more and more. Everyday new words and the excitement in his voice when he says a new word is amazing. It's such a joy to see this little guy open up. Thanks to Laura, my son can say " mommy " now. I urge you to visit her website and see what she is doing to help so many children today. She is our miracle worker!

Jacob loved his bananna pop! I made these instead of a cake, since I haven't been able to research all the alternatives for Jacobs allergies. Everyone really liked the "pops" - especially Jacob!

There comes a few moments in every day that make this all worth it. The excitement in Ethans voice as he learns a new word...a kiss from Ethan is gold. A kiss from Jacob or making him chuckle like only he can do...a smile from Chloe is magic. Just like when she was in the NICU....she always makes you feel better, just by being here. Brandon is such an awesome kid now. There are so many moments in that days that make you want to cry, these are the moments that make us smile.....

We can hardly believe it but our little pea has turned 2! Jacob had such a fun time opening gifts ( with his brothers help .. ) and enjoyed frozen bananna pops and all the balloons and party things. We made it a Blues Clues party in favor of his fave show! He got so many new toys, books, and his very favorite thing of all, a new shiny train! He carries it everywhere he goes. He played on the McDonalds payground and went shopping. His party was so much fun! Check back soon for party pictures. We simply can't believe Jacob is already 2!! Happy Birthday Pea!
