Cucumbers & Chalk Boards

Well....I decided what the heck? Chloe is 8 months old and she it STILL teething without ONE tooth in sight... she hated those cold teething rings but I was putting together the boys salads at dinner time , my little Pooh was waiting paitently for her cereal and instead I looked at the CUCUMBER and I saw a COLD teether... so, there you have it....she LOVED it.. in fact, she GUMMED 2 of them to bits and I just KNOW she will want some tomorrow...hehe... We are wanting to get the boys those double sided easels for their inner craftiness....but haven't been able to do it yet... I found these great chalk board stick ons and just stuck them on the Freezer Door ( they just peel right off...no problem ) and handed the boys some white chalk ... and boredom was dismantled...hehe...at least for a little while...

I thought you might enjoy just a little bit of what I listen to .... all day...

I am so HAPPY to tell you that all the biopsy results for Jacob are in and everything looks normal!! Of course, we are NOW waiting for the Genetics Dr who helped diagnose his Kidney Disease..to look at the file and see if he can pull a rabbit out of a hat and help us with these terrible rash's....

Pooh and I both came down ill after all the adventures last week... She has a double ear infection ( I have never had a child who has had so many ear infections..bewildered ) .... and is BACK on the Breathing Treatments, which now include a steroid inhaler to help with her TERRIBLE wheezing and mac truck like breathing... we are all very worried about asthma...

Jacob has completely recovered and is back to his happy - g0 - lucky teddy bears playing at the Monster Truck rally personality...

Chloe turns 8 months old ♥

Did you look at your calendar this morning? Chloe is 8 months old!!! Really!! How is this possible? I am just in awe.... her 1st year is really just speeding by in a flash...Everyone adores little Pooh and she is getting ready to take off crawling...the boys get in front of her and try to get her to come to them...so cute! All Chloe likes to eat { so far } is oatmeal with bannanas...and sh eeats that with a gusto....she also steals the spoons and will not give them back so I have to take about 10 to the table to get thru a meal...LOL...Chloe is always watching everything...she wiggles and kicks constantly...always smiling...loves to giggle...gets lots of hugs and kisses...loves to be held...sleeps well and is in general... The Belle Of the Ball...everyday....Happy 8 month old birthday my beautiful Princess Pooh....
Chloe LOVES to look at her hands... it's so cute to watch her watch her fingers move and wiggle ....

O yummy....the boys toys are so much more interesting than mine...
She's just going to get up and TAKE OFF any day now.....

Update on Jacob

We wanted to let you all know what the very latest is on Jacob....his Biopsy's have all come back normal {so far}...which is VERY good....except that it STILL leaves us with no awnsers for the angry ,blistered rash's he gets....A {very well known} Geneticist saw him as an infant while we were undergoing his Kidney Diagnosis and our Peditrician is going to give him Jacobs file again in the next week in the hopes that perhaps he has run across this sort of thing else where.
Jacob is OFF the Steroids {yea}.... and is still doing breathing treatments 2-3 x a day.... he is currently on 2 antibiotics and while is still coughing and has a lot of congestion, there is no more wheezing and he is doing SO MUCH better than he was a few days ago...God Awnsers Prayers... Jacob has recently developed a PASSION for books { wonder where he got that from...hehe}...he and Ethan both bring me books to read them all day and here Jacob is "reading " a new Choo Choo book himself!! { Thank you G'ma Janet for all the new books }

On a seperate note...ever since Grandma Sarah & Grandpa Daniel found out about the boys fascination with Choo Choos.... there is all of the sudden Choo Choo tracks all over my house...{ giggle}....three different types of tracks.... they are all over.... It's been so much fun to watch the boys play with all the new trains...Thank you!!

Celebrating Ethans Birthday with Miss Laura

This weekend, we surprised Ethan with a visit from his favorite person in the world...Miss Laura { yes, yes, the "famous" speech therapist } came by to help our little guy celebrate turning "4"... she came by with his God Mother...JoAnn and it was a party as soon as the door opened and Ethan saw Laura holding PRESENTS...{ I don't think she even sat down before he was tearing into the paper..LOL }.... Jacob is always willing to lend a hand at present opening..hehe

What do you stick the candle in if it's 9 am? Well....if you are me ... you fill a bowl with nonfat vanilla yogurt...berris ( strawberries, blueberries, rasberries ) and whip cream....Ethan couldn't be happier with his "breakfast"....hehe
A fun time was had by all and we want to send a super special Thank you to Jo Ann and Laura who made our guys day a little more special { no big party this year was hard } and we are so grateful for what you both bring to our little mans life....Laura... you will be a part of this childs life FOREVER....as the one who taught him to finally start talking.... Wordless Wednesday

I chose to use a recent picture of Pooh for my Wordless Wednesday ( not so "wordless"...LOL )
because I wanted to let everyone know how paitent and sweet she is....just paitently waiting and being carted hither and yon.....she goes with me everywhere with very little complaint....she's the perfect baby sister....

I just love the look on her face in this one....she is so expressive and just makes us all smile!

My brave little Jacob

First of all let me tell you how amazingly TIRED I am...NOW...Jacob had colonoscopy on Monday...he had a very bad reaction ( to what? we were not sure...) and even though the Dr did finally allow me to bring him home...it was with ALOT of reservations. I believe she decided after she realized that I have been dealing with all of this for so long it's old hat now...I really did have the breathing machine, I had the meds, I lived 10 minutes from Pediatricians office... Monday night Jacob sounded worse and worse..he was also literally running into the walls. Tuesday we got up and you could hear him wheezing from across the room...he was literally gasping. I already had the pediatrician appointment so I piled all the kids ( thank goodness I have Brandon this week ) into the van and off we went...When we got to her office, she turned around and just stared. " I can't believe they sent him home sounding like that"...she listened to him breath and his chest I don't know how many times. He was gasping at times. { All of this while Ethan tries to ride her stool around the room and Brandon tries to calm a cranky Chloe }... she was talking "pneumonia".... or "fluid in the lungs".... she gave him steroids and a breathing treatment in her office { she also mentioned that she had never seen him act as out of control as he was that day in her office - he was WAY OUT OF CONTROL } then she sent us for chest xrays....on the other side of town.... so .. back in the car....made sure they all ate something and off we went...There, Dr's were coming out in the hall and freaking out when they heard him wheezing so bad and literally running into the walls.. Where was my Pea? This crazed wheezing child was hurting so bad that I didn't know what to do.... it took 3 of us to hold him down for 3 different sets of xrays....finally....the lungs look clear!! Yea!! So, home we went to await our Dr's call. She called a bit later and decided to keep him on HIGH dose steroids and breathing treatments every 30 minutes and if I even thought something was amiss I was to take him to the ER immediately otherwise I was to go to her office in the morning. Poor jacob was having such a hard time.... We also realized as we spoke to his Dr that what had happened was that when they traced him the tube literally tore him up....his esophagus was all bruised and battered...my poor pea...the insane behavior was due to the high dose steroids ... we did manage to get him settled down but by the 3rd breathing treatments in 1 1/2 hours he let us know he was really DONE with all of this! He slept....fitfully...I slept...little....we woke to a Jacob that sounded a bit better...All back in the car to go back to the Dr...again....she looked him over and noticed right off that he sounded better...no more heavy gasping and little wheezing...she is weaning him off the high dose steroids....{ already he is calming down }..a little antibiotic due to his throat being so read and inflamed....breathing treatments morning, noon and night...and if he sounds "junky" I am to call her.. I need to call her with an update tomorrow....

It's been a LONG day....a LONG week....

I realized in the middle of madness that Chloe was due for her scope at the ENT for possible "floppy tonsil syndrome" and just had to call and reschedule....

We are still awaiting results of the biopsy's but I am praying they give us some answers ....
Tonight he cuddled a bit...took breathing treatments and meds like a big boy and read some new Thomas the Train books with Ethan...he seemed to be feeling a little better...
I am glad...I hate it when my Pea is down....those of you that have been blessed to really see him know that he is rarely "down".....
Pea is on the mend ... we are home tomorrow.. and I am forever grateful that we are blessed to have such an amazing Dr!! And one amazing Pea!

Jacobs Colonoscopy

Yesterday was the big day...Jacobs colonoscopy and upper endoscopy...we were up at 3 am for the enema...which wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Jacob and I arrived at the hospital promptly at 6 am....we were greeted by a room with a bed full of new toys and books. {see the fire engine hat below }.... after some paperwork and baseline vitals...we all got down to business. His Dr came in and explained everything, making sure I understood exactly what was going to happen. We gave Jacob the "goofy juice" {berry flavored to make it easier to drink...} within 10 minutes he was "drunk" ....it was really funny...hehe....he would try to sit up and fall over....soon, they came and decided that he was ready to go back. we pulled out the {strawberry scented} oxygen mask for the anesthesia and I followed him as far as I could...I gave him a little kiss and said a prayer...then they whisked him into the O.R. { as soon as we was completely asleep they ran the IV's..that way he never felt them set those up }
The procedure took an hour. The Dr came out and spoke to me... they didn't see anything on scope { they didn't expect too } but he took samples for biopsy from the colon, pancreas, stomach, intestines and bowels...we are awaiting those results...
In Post Op....Jacob was very cranky but started settling down after some cuddles and water. He was having a difficult time breathing and wound up having 3 breathing treatments before they would let him go home...We were there in Post Op for a long time....wheezing, gasping, breathing treatments...At one time the Dr thumped his back for almost an hour trying to get him to cough. She almost checked him in..... finally she decided he could go home - if I continued the breathing treatments and took him to see our Peditrician in the morning he hated the armbands...
This was in registration before we went upstairs... A little drunk on the goofy juice...
A kiss for my Pea

Ethan turns 4 ♥

Ethan's big 4th Birthday was Sunday ( sandwhiched on Fathers Day and the day before Jacobs colonoscopy ) and it was a fun, even if quiet day for my Peach. Due to Jacobs Colonoscopy prep later that night we opted for dessert for breakfast for the birthday boy. Appealing to their all time fave food...Strawberries... I layered some with bananna's and whip cream and topped them with some sprinkles....Ethan LOVED it...Jacob freaked out when the whip cream got on him and we had to get him a bowl of plain strawberries { we all figured Jacob would dive into the bowl headfirst..we were wrong...LOL }....
After "breakfast" there were PRESENTS... as you can see, Jacob was happy to give his brother a helping hand...hehe...

Even Chloe got in on the action...hehe...of course she found the polka dot paper!

All in all, Ethan had a fab day...filled with his favorite foods, new choo choo books, a train table, airplanes and some new clothes for the little "diva"....he ran and played....I took them to the Play Place and we just hung out....He had a good birthday and I just can't believe that this little guy is 4!! It literally seems just like yesterday.... I hope and pray that th enext 4 years, just get better!!
Happy Birthday Ethan!!
Love, Mommy, Daddy, Brandon, Jacob & Chloe
