Chloe will have surgery... and she flunks a hearing test...

we have news about Chloe... yesterday she went back to the ENT for her scheduled appointment ( it had been rescheduled during the week of Jacobs colonoscopy ordeal ) ... the ENT is looking at several issues with our Pooh... she has two small "tags" on her ears...she breaths like a mac truck at times and even wheezes ( as in asthma )... we believe she may have "floppy tonsil syndrome" ( she has been on breathing treatments and steroid breathing treatments for a very long time now).... we also have a history of severe hearing loss in our family ( G'ma Janet ) and as such, ALL the Peeps are double checked in the hearing department. WELL.... TODAY... Chloe has her 3rd double ear infection ( I have never had a child get so many ear infections in my life ) and the decision has been made to get the tubes. Chloe also flunked a hearing test - in the mild to moderate range...it is the belief that since we haven't noticed any signs of hearing loss that she flunked the test due to lost hearing because of all the fluid in her ears....( it will be a wait and see aspect...)....SO....while they are doing her tubes ( she will of course be under general anesthesia at this time ) they will go ahead and remove her little ear tags and they will ALSO place a scope down her throat to get a really good look at the esophagus and determine once and for all the cause of the raspy, wheezy, mac truck like breathing that has plagued our precious baby girl since birth... WoW... that will be a big day for our Princess.... this is currently set for early September. About 3 weeks after the tubes are placed, we will return to the ENT for another hearing test and it's our hope that this one will be good.....

For those of you that don't know...ever since Ethan was first undergoing diagnosis for Aprexia... at the exact same time Infant Jacob was being diagnosed with his Kidney Disorder.... we have had our children under anesthesia for sedated ABR... MRI....VCUG.....various renal testing....colonoscopy....and now...ear tubes... sigh... I do get a little run down from this but everytime I return to the hospital with one of the Peeps ( which I actually feel right at home in now ) ... I look up and see Chloe's NICU window.. and I realize how amazingly blessed we are. Yes, we do go to the hospital alot ( there have been jaundice trips, strep throat, stitches... and all sorts of other fun in between the major stuff ).... but we get to bring our children home... at the end of the day...we are home... and for that .. I am GRATEFULL....♥
