OK, Did you know I am a slight hockey fan? OK, I live and breathe Hockey.. but you probably know that already. The teams that are the most successful ( in any sport ) are the one's that have the most fun. This year, My Stars are having ALOT of fun... both on and off the ice. Click the link to see a recent video of a challange they have issued to one another. It's not a long video... but you need to watch the entire thing.. and then when you are done laughing hysterically...let me know how long it will take you to run to the store for your own SWORD...
*** note.. due to technical issues you might have to copy & paste the link into a new window but trust me, it's worth it!

My little Cowboy
Ethan's Kindergarten class had a Cowboy day theme one day recently. They all had to wear something that fit the theme. We decided our little fashion maven would love to wear the bandanna scarf. And yes he did! He fell in love with his dad's of course, so I had to find clothes that matched, and let me tell you.. .he wore this bandanna day and night, for about a week... we might have to buy him more colors he liked it so much....
It's the little things
Did you know... that Chloe has mad kind of love of balloons? Well, she does! Anytime she see's them, she gets wonderfully excited, and her love of them...well, it just shines thru.....

Balloons, Bowling & a 4th Birthday Party
It was a PARTY! We chose Bowling because that's one of Jacob's new favorite things. I got the cupcakes - made allergy free by whole Foods, especially for the Party. There will be a seperate post for Chloe and her mad love for the birthday balloons:)
Everyone bowled, ate too much, shared frosting, picked up stray wrapping paper, wiped up spilled lemonade and in general had a wonderful time.
I still can't believe my little snuggle bear is FOUR! Time is going by so very quickly.
Happy 4th Birthday Jacob! Mommy & Daddy (and a slew of other people ) love you bunch's and bunch's...

Gods 26 Guards....
My dear Mom, who knows how I have struggled over the past few months...sent this to me today... I was immediately obsessed with it...can I say "obsessed" about something Biblical? Yes, I think I can. I am blessed to have many people praying for my peeps & I as we struggle to move forward.. this spoke to me, about the sheer power of Prayer.. and most importantly, FAITH..which sadly, in this day, is so hard to lose, or to become blind too. I encourage you to read this and really think on what it is saying. It's a very powerful message.
A missionary on furlough told this true story while visiting his home church in Michigan.
'While serving at a small field hospital in Africa, every two weeks I traveled by bicycle through the jungle to a nearby city for supplies. This was a journey of two days and required camping overnight at the halfway point.
On one of these journeys, I arrived in the city where I planned to collect money from a bank, purchase medicine, and supplies, and then begin my two-day journey back to the field hospital.
Upon arrival in the city, I observed two men fighting, one of whom had been seriously injured. I treated him for his injuries and at the same time talked to him about the Lord.
I then traveled two days, camping overnight, and arrived home without incident....
Two weeks later I repeated my journey. Upon arriving in the city, I was approached by the young man I had treated. He told me that he had known I carried money and medicines. He said, 'Some friends and I followed you in to the jungle knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs, but just as we were about to move into your camp, we saw that you were surrounded by 26 armed guards.
At this, I laughed and said that I was certainly all alone in that jungle campsite. The young man pressed the point, however, and said, 'No, sir, I was not the only person to see the guards, my friends also saw them, and we all counted them. It was because of those guards that we were afraid and left you alone.'
At this point in the sermon, one of the men in the congregation jumped to his feet and interrupted the missionary and asked if he could tell him the exact day this happened. The missionary told the congregation the date and the man who interrupted told him this story:
'On the night of your incident in Africa, it was morning here and I was preparing to go play golf. I was about to putt when I felt the urge to pray for you. In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong I called men in this church to meet with me here in the sanctuary to pray for you.
Would all of those men who met with me on that day stand up?' The men who had met together to pray that day stood up. The missionary wasn't concerned with whom they were, he was too busy counting how many men he saw.
There were 26.
This story is an incredible example of how the Spirit of the Lord moves in behalf of those who love Him. If you ever feel such prodding to pray, go along with it, you don't know what it can mean to that person.
Nothing is ever hurt by prayer except the gates of hell. I encourage you to forward this to as many people as you know. If we all take it to heart, we can turn this world toward God once again. As the above true story clearly illustrates, with God all things are possible'.
More importantly, how God hears and Answers the prayers of the faithful.
After you read this, please pass it on and Give God thanks for the beautiful gift of your faith, for the powerful gift of prayer, and for the many miracles He works in your own daily life... And then pass it on.
Who says God does not move on the earth today?
I ask the Lord to bless you as I pray for you today. To guide you and protect you as you go along your way.
His love is always with you, His promises are true, and when we give Him our cares you know He will see us through. So when the road you're traveling on seems difficult at best, just remember I'm here praying, and God will do the rest.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Nine Years
Nine years
Is a long time
I waited
Ahem...many people waited
For THIS man
to come HOME
HE was a Dallas Star
He won Stanley with us
One of the BEST
In a stupid, stupid move
Dallas traded him
to New Jersey
where he has been for almost NINE years
He was their Captain
He was the Captain of the United States Olympic Hockey team last year
He won the silver medal
We were proud
Dang proud
He won Stanley again in New Jersey
I wept
We lost
But he won
I prayed
and
prayed
and begged
and dreamed
of the day he would return
THEN one day last week
HE CAME HOME!!!
After almost NINE years
JAMIE LANGENBRUNNER is a DALLAS STAR again
and now everyone can stand up and do the Happy Dance
I did
Yep, I did...
I'll have to tell you about it sometime
not now
This picture... I took this
nifty isn't it?
It's of the very first time Langie ( as we old time Stars fans still call him)
stepped on the Stars Ice
to play his first game
at HOME
in almost NINE years...
Yes, even in hockey...we weep...sometimes.. not often...but it happens.. not so much the players..
Well, unless you WEAR Number 9. But that's a post for another day...
WELCOME HOME JAMIE LANGENBRUNNER!!!!
You were missed! We are delirious with JOY you are back.... now never leave us again!
Onward we go..... we have a CUP to win this year:)
