This year. 2009. Will always be remembered. By us. It was a year of struggles. In many ways. We won some. We lost some. We lost a little more than we wanted. A little more than we won. But, we stayed together.

We cried together.

We laughed together.

We moved together.

We are starting over..

Peeps at Play

We started out not that cold...compared to the unheated house that is... so, while the fablulous repairman was in the attic...finding a working heater.. Pooh took a nap.. and I took the boys outside to run off some of that crazy BOY energy...

Quite possibly one of my more recent fave pictures of Ethan! Pea...ignoring me telling him NOT to play with that! Notice the cheeky grin...um.. hmmm.

he went up about 2 rungs and decided he had enough of that!

Later the same day, after the now WORKING heater had warmed us all up.. the snow started falling and the peeps sat in the doorway for a bit....staying nice & WARM!

These were taken over the past couple of days... just some funny moments with the peeps..

Jacob... you can't tell because I had to have the flash on so bright but this was taken in the dark bedroom as I tried to convince (o so quietly so I didn't wake the 2 sleeping peeps ) that it really was bedtime!
{ and this was a night before the heat was fixed hence the jacket and bulky flannel in bed } Ethan.. GQ bound someday - for sure!

Chloe had SO much fun with G'ma Janet over the long Christmas weekend! It was just the best!

Baby...it's COLD out there...

You may have heard
the heat in the house
went OUT
yup, it did...
for 3 very long
very cold days
our friends were so kind
we found a fantastic repairmen
finally
who got it fixed
just today
just in time
for the snow
to start falling...again
But before that,
we wore alot of footed pj's...mittens..socks... and head caps...
Pooh...got all chapped from the cold..{insert sad face}
we snuggled...alot...

The heater has finally warmed us all and we are toasty warm while watching the snow - I mean the sleet fall outside...Thank God for working Heaters!

Now, I realize that to SOME of you, this is nothing {melody and renee...} BUT, in Texas...this is ALOT of snow! We were sooo excited that some of it stuck from that crazy storm Christmas Eve. Don't you just KNOW the boys had to got out in it and play??!!

This Christmas was such a blessing to my family. From the home we celebrated in..the family we celebrated with... the friends we were spoiled by..the amazing presents under the tree for our peeps { and a few really nice ones for us as well }... to time spent togethe. Laughing. Worshipping. Loving the twists & turns in the road that led us to where we are today. Thank you - to EVERYONE who had any hand in the bountiful blessings my little family has experienced recently. God is Good and Friends are Fantastic!!

I don't know about YOU..

nights of the year...
Everything is silent...
except for the laughing
never took naps

children
running
thru the house
